"geese stitch the falling dusk" Thank goodness I read these lovely words twice! First time I read 'geese stitch the falling duck'! Funny image. Sorry, still laughing at my own stupidity!
I quilted long ago and your first words made me want to reach for fabric and begin piecing it together--you captured the feeling of fall which I have always seen as a beginning--great magpie!

This brings out the melancholy longing which each fall brings; hearing the geese fly overhead. Lovely.

This is wonderful. From the beginning verse to the end.

A lovely piece.
Loved the first para, especially.
Together, it tells a story.

Your poem sounds so soothing and comforting. Such calming words!
A true magpie tale. Delightful. I am late responding but that's because I have been traveling!

I can hear the "sweet clear sounds" of the "melody of Persephone"
Lovely lyrical, autumn calling the birds last song before going south,
simply divine...

I don't know how you do it every single time but you do. The geese stitching. I can't get over how good that is. Magnificent!
I'm too french to know what a Persephone is, but I like the sound of it. And I loved "the falling dusk to leaves of quilts"
Very nice!
Oh -- this is near and dear to my heart. I love the movement into Persephone. Beautiful.
