fat quarters, quilts and queries
fabric fused by tape
pinked by promise
survival stitched with silken threads
tapestry refreshed in double lines
mending holes and darning wholes
and still the raveling warps
she seams around the inside edges
to avoid tear-tracked endings
fat quarters and family's age old queries

I love sewing, and I love poetry and you have managed to bring the two together seamlessly ;) I really enjoyed your use of holes/wholes and thought this was a lovely poem.
A lot of sound to this poem when read aloud. Liked 'pinked by promise', I'd forgotten about pinking shears.

The last line becomes a re-invention of the first - like another metaphorical perspective! And loved the echo of "holes and "wholes"! A fascinating poem!
