A for ABC Wednesday

ABC WEDNESDAY ROUND 7: A is For Addition

I adore this awesome free open source fractal creator. Apophysis is a small program, loads quickly and is actually quite easy to use - I play around with it quite often and like what happens. If a person is math inclined, there are options which I've avoided. :)

This fractal is one of my favorites. I added a couple of dark spots for eyes and it became 'The King of Grim'.

And, of course, Wikipedia  has something to say.

Have you tried anything like this?

I love what you created.

Fractals is a very interesting subjects - even when you take a superficial look at the maths behind it. It is more part of nature that most people know.

Years ago we had a fractal generator, I had fun with it, but never saved anything. This is cool, and your name for it fits perfectly.

okay, I'm completely hooked. I saw this last year and put off playing with it. Now...I'll never get anything else done!

I think I could be seduced into creating such interesting fractals, and will surely follow your link, with thanks.

Cool thing, and - at least - mathematics. A wonder, nothing else. So I will be surprised like always.

It does look like a moth from the dark side.
Interesting program, not that I understood more than a dozen words on the wiki site but then a picture has a 1000 of them.

I'm not sure I'm quite ready for fractals quite yet. I do like numbers so this may be right up my alley.

What an amazing fractal--just beautiful. I wonder if that program would work on an ITouch.

Thanks for your unique entry.

Cool! I have no idea what a fractal is, but The King of Grim looks like he should be a Beowulf demon.

I've not played around with fractals for a long time - once you get hooked it can be quite time consuming - was using a slower computer at that time though.
