Quintessential is a word that sings to my ear.
Quintessential fills the cracks which remain when describing a particular something. Quintessential holds the essence of that something in its most pure and concentrated form.
The photograph is, to me, Quintessential Autumn.

Have a great day!

The blazing contrast against the monochromatic and textured background is delightful to the eyes. And your words sound like music, quintessentially beautiful.
And purely so, - beautiful fall shades for the brilliant leaf to rest on. They picture autumn perfectly.
quality post
Beautiful Sue! Much more color than my leaf. I really like: winter laughs. That is for sure...
That's a good word - and an excellent pic.
Beautiful photo and one of my all time favourite words :)
Great post, great image! That's a quintessential ABC Wednesday post.
Love your haiku and the fiery leaf. The name is perfect...Quintessential Autumn.
Impressive choice and photograph!
Yummy photo! Love the shiny stones in the background of the "fiery leaf."
Terrific haiku.
I like quintessential also- the meaning and the sound.
lovely pic and excellent haiku
Your haiku is quintessential! One of my most favorite words! Beautiful leaf too.
Your haiku makes me smile. Quintessential reminds me of smiling eyes.
Nice Q post!! Quintessential autumn is lovely.
Quintessence comes from the old Greek word meaning the "fifth" element, so this fitted very well. And the red was just right!
I think you've got the essentials of quint quite nicely there.
I love the word 'quintessential' too! It popped into my head as I contemplated 'Q' for this week, but I'm doing 'from the archives' this round and I had nothing to fit!
That photo of the red leaf is gorgeous!
Beautiful shot and I love that word - I always feel intelligent when I use it . . . ;-)
I love the word quintessential, too. And I agree, your photo fills the bill.
A word that feels delicious on the tongue. Lovely autumn leaf photo and haiku.
Great pictures, the third is my favorite!
I love the picture of the leaf, so contrast against the shiny pale stones!
Oh I love words also. I love how you have described this word and you are right that photograph really is quintessential autumn.
Yes, it is the quintessential photo of autumn! And a perfect haiku to go with it. I'm hoping that autumn holds out a little longer here.
The color and texture in the photo is stunning - it looks staged, but you know it's not - very quintessential! The haiku is lovely as well. Thank you for a post that was a treat to read.
Good one Sue, loved it!
Quintessential is a perfect word, and your photo illustrates it equally perfectly.
Thanks for visiting mine.
When I read your words outloud I feel them and hear them and am awed!
Quintessential Autumn is exquisite!
