Wednesday Haiku

Three Word Wednesday moderated by ThomG offers the following three words as prompt:

Caress Jagged Ruthless

My response is one haiku plus An American Sentence

**

ruthless tides
pummel jagged rocks
caress sand

**

The strong and ruthless create jagged shards from those they choose to caress.

The fractal image was created in Fractal Explorer.

Hey Tumble, nice haiku and sentence. Well done.

Both are excellent, but the American Sentence takes the edge.

I enjoyed both but the sentence was the most powerful. Nicely done

I never have anything to say other than lovely, but your work always is.

You did an incredible job with the prompt words. Your haiku's are always wonderful, I've never had much luck with them myself. I particularly like this one, it is exceptionally vivid.

Oh my gosh, these were both fantastic...the first one was incredibly visual, and the second one was incredibly truthful. I love the fractal image...a beautiful burst of colors.

Wow...very powerful images in both pieces. Wonderful!

That's real compression - and a real Haiku moment. Great.

Both are very powerful! I don't think I could choose a favorite. Wonderful writing.

By the way, stop by my blog to pick up an award I have waiting for you there.

Both are excellent! Mine took me to the ocean, too.

The second one really hits home when I think of many of my students who suffer so much at home.

I happened to see the other erosion haiku before this one. Both are very good, but they take the opposite tack. Yours starts with ruthless and ends with the caress, but the other was turned round. Perhaps different coasts of the same sea. :-)

Wonderfulwords!
And I love the fractal it makes my head spin. I like it when my head spins!

i love that haiku and how you managed to put those three words in one little haiku and it all feels so natural and strong.

More haiku! Fantastic! I really like this! I found 3WW through a comment PJD left elsewhere and somehow assumed that it was an all haiku group feasting on a three word bento for lunch each week.

And now I find that some are, although I have been astonished and delighted at the prose and other poetry forms I have found.

Tschüss,
Chris
