Foot Fairy
dark blocks brake the fluxstifle energy and healing ~
white tendrils of clearing smoke
rise from burning sage
strong fingers massage
ease the dull meridians
healer's reflexology
kneading brings free flow
currents of clear light
stream unchecked beneath my skin
I float on the hands of time
tight spots left behind
A sketch.

Lovely text.
Foot fairy made me think of the teeth fairy and what one could get by placing one's foot under one's pillow.
Results were a trifle gruesome.
"dark blocks brake the flux"
Love that line; love the title!
Susan, this makes me want to go for a foot massage.Nicely written.

Some great inner rhymes here.
I SO want a reflexology session now! You turned an artful practice into a beautiful poem. Talent!
I need that foot fairy! NOW!
I write notes here...
My foot started to question me ...when do have this massage

"...ease the dull meridians..." That was wonderful (and I love your title, too!)
Very nicely expressed, Susan. I especially like the last stanza....
"I float on the hands of time
tight spots left behind" = lovely words!
luv the title.... what a wonderful way to express a foot massage.. great response to the prompt!
Where can I sign up?! Sounds wonderful.
Great word choices - the first line is full of hard sounds - feels tight and painful, and at the end the words are smooth and soft, echoing the relief the foot fairy provided.
I love the sounds of this piece. So many percussives in the first line!
One word: ahhh... :)
A healing practice, like Reflexology, is a poetry of the body. Loved this, thanks...
please please tell the foot fairy to stop at my house! I really enjoyed reading this it is light hearted and interesting!
I suppose it might be derivative to say, like everyone else, that I could certainly benefit from such a visit. If there's a shoulder and/or spine reflexology fairy, though I could definitely use one of those.
Also, well-written poem! :)
Lovely. Really communicates the healing power of touch.
