Foot Fairy for Big Tent Poetry

Big Tent Poetry offers this prompt:  write a poem about feet

Foot Fairy

dark blocks brake the flux
stifle energy and healing ~

white tendrils of clearing smoke
rise from burning sage

strong fingers massage
ease the dull meridians

healer's reflexology
kneading brings free flow

currents of clear light
stream unchecked beneath my skin

I float on the hands of time
tight spots left behind

A sketch.

Lovely text.

Foot fairy made me think of the teeth fairy and what one could get by placing one's foot under one's pillow.
Results were a trifle gruesome.

"...ease the dull meridians..." That was wonderful (and I love your title, too!)

Very nicely expressed, Susan. I especially like the last stanza....

"I float on the hands of time
tight spots left behind" = lovely words!

Great word choices - the first line is full of hard sounds - feels tight and painful, and at the end the words are smooth and soft, echoing the relief the foot fairy provided.

I love the sounds of this piece. So many percussives in the first line!

A healing practice, like Reflexology, is a poetry of the body. Loved this, thanks...

I suppose it might be derivative to say, like everyone else, that I could certainly benefit from such a visit. If there's a shoulder and/or spine reflexology fairy, though I could definitely use one of those.

Also, well-written poem! :)
