Tasseography is the art of reading tea leaves.
Wikipedia has this to say. "Tasseography (also known as tasseomancy or tassology) is a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments. The terms derive from the French word tasse (cup), which in turn derives from the cognate Arabic word tassa, and the Greek suffixes -graph (writing), -logy (study of), and -mancy (divination)."
I'll open a bag of Bigelow Chamomile Mango tea and steep the leaves. No. I have a small tin of ChocoMint Green Tea gifted to me by my oldest granddaughter and I'll use it since that taste fits this frigid Tuesday perfectly.
Now I'm not sure what these leaves say. Do you know?
Today I think telekinesis would be good. I could move snow without touching it and that would make me smile.

Don't know what the tea leaves say, but I'm sure it's something exciting! And I'm all for telekinesis! Love your post for the day! How fun! And besides Tumblewords is a great T word, Too! Have a Terrific day -- T one or not!

Great post, - nice to see the origin of the word. Not a big believe in tea leaves, but I see a good use of telekinesis!
Great T post read!! ....and the tea leaves say you are cold and need a strong cup of well brewed tea!!
I love tea but never managed to read anything in the leaves, great post!
Very original take on the letter T. Great shots and post for the theme.
I think the leaves are saying: "Time for a top-up." Enjoy your second cup!
oMIGOD I need a double of this tea! :)
I think I'm so stressed, tired all time, you gave me a great hint about this tea! :)

My great aunt Katie use to be an expert at this, how cool eh? I wish I knew what your leaves had to say...something wonderful I'm guessing.

Reading tea leaves...
Quite interesting...
Thanks for the info Tumblewords :)
The leaves say: "You will be visited electronically by many friendly strangers."

Tee hee. I think Roger is correct about what the tea leaves say. :)
"If you can read this, you're too close." :-)
I read my coffee grounds this morning...they said go back to bed. You can't argue with coffee grounds...so I did.
Well, I don't know what it says, but it looks like a nice little cabin in the woods.

When we were young (teens, twenties) we'd go downtown to a tea shoppe and have tea and get our leaves read. It was such fun but I didn't really take it seriously. Maybe I should? It would be fun to go again now I'm older. :D
I love tea but it comes in a tea-bag, so how to read that? lol
This brings back childhood memories Sue - my best friend's mother used to "read" our tea leaves when we got home from school. I really do believe she "knew," but, if she didn't, she certainly had us hoodwinked!
Ha ha, maybe the tea leaves said, he's dry and needs some hot water lol. Well, there are people so gifted that they can read tea leaves.
Thanks for the new words that i learned today.
I'm sure that many people would like to use telekinesis to move the blizzards which seem to be overtaking everyone.
Great blog and I hope you enjoy your yummy sounding tea.
Reading fortune from tea leaves suppose to be something Chinese and I have heared about it before. But even till now I have never seen a actual fortun telling using tea leaves yet!
Loved the comments of AJ & Roger - such wit! lol! I put the kettle on a while ago - for my first cup of the day but got lost in the many blog posts for ABc Wednesday - a great way to start the day! Thanks so much

Your tea leaves make a very perfect round pattern! It must mean something great!I think Roger is the best tea leave reader of us. I like these new words: tasseology, tasseography... They are not in any of my dictionaries. So I learned again something new. Thanks! Havw a great day!
The tea leaves say," Make a cup of tea, and you will have a calm day."
Maybe "This is a Teacup?" :-)
Perhaps an alchemic brew. My grandmother used to read the leaves and point out the meaning of the groupings, not that I thought they looked like anything at all. Guess the tea reading gene passed me by.
Wonderful post! I think your tea leaves indicate a happy time with family in your own home - or is it Christmas influencing me??
Fascinating and fun. Thanks for the amazing image of "moving snow without touching it and smiling about it". I love your last line.
I've had my tea leaves read - but never knew that term!
Great post for this week!
What a great idea. I've never had mine read. I bet it'd be fun if I didn't take it seriously.
I'd say the leaves are telling you it's time to drink some wine and try again. I bet you could *see* something then! ;-)
Interesting. I am a sceptic and don't believe in horoscopes etc. But I would like to see a tea reader read a tea bag :P
