Like how you picked the words 'righteous eye' for the left (sinister) eye!

oh very nice!

That is a very commanding eye!

There is something about that look, 'righteous' fits so well!

A mighty righteous eye .... not sure I want to get into a stare down with him. Nicely written. Short and sweet.

He looks a little "cock-sure" of himself to me.

Ha ha! I can picture this rooster "keeping an eye out" for the hens.

An excellent piece. Roosters do have very beady eyes.

More than clever..I feel I know this chicken!

kavisionz said...

Now that you have put it that way, that eye ACTUALLY makes the rooster look kinda righteous! It's like he is reprimanding one of the chicks for crossing the road without looking both ways! :)

Me likes your take on this Magpie!!! Nice!!

Wow. Really enjoyed this!

Brigid said...

Beautifully put, righteous is exactly the right word for 'that look'.

Fantastic. And that wall called to you, too!

(p.s. I see in your profile that you are a fan of Leonard Cohen. I bought tickets for his Portland, OR, performance. The tour is wrapping up and I feel lucky to see him. I think I am more excited for this concert than any other in my life!)

I'd be trying to become part of the wall. Less visible - more chances of survival.

That right-eye is watching every move! Cock o' the walk!

Oh, no! Senryu! And I thought I'd just figured out Haiku!

Keep us guessing, righteous poet.
