Tasseography is the art of reading tea leaves.
Wikipedia has this to say. "Tasseography (also known as tasseomancy or tassology) is a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments. The terms derive from the French word tasse (cup), which in turn derives from the cognate Arabic word tassa, and the Greek suffixes -graph (writing), -logy (study of), and -mancy (divination)."
I'll open a bag of Bigelow Chamomile Mango
tea and steep the leaves. No. I have a small tin of ChocoMint Green Tea gifted to me by my oldest granddaughter and I'll use it since that taste fits this frigid Tuesday perfectly. Now I'm not sure what these leaves say. Do you know?
Today I think telekinesis would be good. I could move snow without touching it and that would make me smile.

I read my coffee grounds this morning...they said go back to bed. You can't argue with coffee grounds...so I did.

When we were young (teens, twenties) we'd go downtown to a tea shoppe and have tea and get our leaves read. It was such fun but I didn't really take it seriously. Maybe I should? It would be fun to go again now I'm older. :D

This brings back childhood memories Sue - my best friend's mother used to "read" our tea leaves when we got home from school. I really do believe she "knew," but, if she didn't, she certainly had us hoodwinked!
Ha ha, maybe the tea leaves said, he's dry and needs some hot water lol. Well, there are people so gifted that they can read tea leaves.

Reading fortune from tea leaves suppose to be something Chinese and I have heared about it before. But even till now I have never seen a actual fortun telling using tea leaves yet!

Perhaps an alchemic brew. My grandmother used to read the leaves and point out the meaning of the groupings, not that I thought they looked like anything at all. Guess the tea reading gene passed me by.
