love to watch those shadows dance but i love the door being open to let fresh air inside more. the mornings have been so cool here i haven't been able to resist.
i've had moments of my own where i want to get revenge against whatever cut me. those tiny cuts seem to hurt more too.
ravens flapping away like that can sometimes scar one unexpectedly. great writing on each of these poems. hope all is well. have a great day.
Lovely words! I love the shadows when you suddenly realize that it's quiet, and empty. That lovely haiku reminded me of that, down to the dust dancing in the air. :)

Have you noticed that poets see the world differently?
I love your view.
I get a strong sense of absence and enclosure from these lines.
That last line, those two words, they work so well. The synergy and vivid power of your haiku is quite wonderful.
Love the isolation in this one.
so sweet and clever...love it!
Love the dancing shadows
What happens inside--and why the end of summer can be a challenge.
I love it when that happens!
There's a scariness to this. Love it.
Spare language & style reinforce the concept. Beautiful visual, too. Well done.
Wonderful imagery! Excellent post! =)

Lovely Haiku but there is a sense of loneliness...yet...apt for the prompt...
Beautiful Haiku...
The emptiness clearly shows and speaks volumes about loneliness.

when the room is quiet, shadows get to dance - not necessarily a sad or lonely time, depending on the occupant's point of view
I like that the wording leaves it up to the reader to interpret
great image
indoor air definitely has a lot to tell when its void of sounds....few words but could read into a lot.

Hi Sue, thank goodness for windows. Huh! We have a family letter back at Pilgrims's times. They used oiled paper for window coverings.
This reads good. I lie your photo too. Just abstract enough to find all sorts of things in or out.
