A Triple

ThomG, moderator of 3WordWednesday offers the following three:  sacrifice, caustic, hunch

Sunday Scribblings offers: mentors

My response is a Naisaiku - play along

one lone play
sacrificed a soul
caustic hunch
gentle mentors not so much
caustic play
sacrificed a soul
one lone hunch

Good combination of prompts - THREE birds with one stone...!

love the word play in this.

I especially liked the wording "gentle mentors not so much", relevant in so many contexts. The intensity in this short form invites many interpretations, especially juxtaposed next to that tiny humble purple flower!

Wow, the word play here is excellent, and so is the imagery! Great job working in all of the prompts. :)

I had not heard about the Irish girl committing suicide because of bullying when I wrote my 3ww piece. It's beyond comprehension that not one person helped this girl.

My MENTOR is very gentle...
I like the photo.

The flower is lovely!

I found it in deep contrast to your poem. It's heartbreaking. I did not associate it with that little Irish girl but I could see it.

This is thought-provoking. Structurally, I love the way you combined 3WW, Sunday Scriblings, NaiSaiKu and rhyme. Philosophically, you got me thinking about mentors and harsh vs gentle. I might have to go mull this over a bit.

You've captured more in that than just 3 prompts :-)

Oh. For pity's sake this is about mentors because this is a triple post.

I need to slow down and think.

This is a perfect "poem" about mentors. Perfect!

The abundance of "C' words in this post gave it a cruel yet so effective punch.
