Slow Motion Wreck RWP #120

Get Your Poem On  The current prompt is an image which can be seen at the site.

Slow Motion Wreck

a crop of crows
reaps eyes from the dawn
with their stiff-legged pluck

the gray of God's acre
binds a wagon brimmed
with overripe redemption

harvest is darkly lacking
saddened by the wildings
of a rabid farm-fed fringe

a blind crop of crows
goes pecking pecking pecking
around the slow motion wreck

I need to look up a few words in order to feel the gist of your beautiful poetry, dear Tumblewords!

I love the rhythm of
"a blind crop of crows
goes pecking pecking pecking"
which at the same time is dark and troubling. Every stanza produces powerful imagery.

Very well done. "The gray of God's acre" is a very intriguing line that could be used to create another poem...

Interesting scenes. Unfortunately the link "Get your poem on" leads me to an empty page.

Very strong. All those hard c/k sounds, final ps and ds, then the final lines pull out long os crows goes slow motion to the final hardstop.

This is powerful, your choice of words give a heaviness to the poem.

A desolate feeling and a silence in this poem .

Some very rich language and description in this poem. I especially love the first stanza ("reaps eyes from the dawn"), but your imagery is spectacular throughout. You connect the action of the crow with the scenery well, and give this a nice, overall dark feel. Well done.
