Carry on Tuesday posts: Our prompt this week is a quotation from John Lennon: Love is the flower you've got to let grow.
Love is the Flower
tall and gangly
tattered at the crest
promising nothing
it sticks around
stays in place
a wild stalk
stalwart and true
proud as the rose
blossoms thrust forth
a summer surprise
love is the flower
you've got to let grow
Image is a watercolor/pen and ink bookmark.

Great stuff
Great picture and poem: fit each other finely.
love can grow in the right circumstances, too. love the strong images at play here. hope all is well. have a great day.
From something tall and gangly to love itself--a blossom and a blossoming. What a great piece.
Feed it well and it will grow strong.
absolutely beautiful!
and since I adore lennon.. I must try to participate this week!
soft and pleasant like a meandering stream. the poem and the art is beyond my words to describe, except that I enjoy it very much
Picture and words simply wonderful.
Indeed a summer surprise it is! beautiful...loved the subtle bookmark.
Perfectly beautiful, much like a flower :)
be it anything, love surely carries the beauty with it.
