a murder of crows
a rabble of ravens
all in wilding disarray
cawing, raving
over the same bad meat
to validate their stance
a magpie, black and white,
swoops from highline wire
boosts fare from the fight
wings away in mock salute
another bona fide success
in an endless feudal row
a murder of crows
a rabble of ravens
all in wilding disarray

Ooo, a murder of crows, wonderful.
And what a fun game sometimes to fill in the blanks on... a (noun) of (noun.)
Someone once wrote "a tangle of children," playing cards on the carpet.
Words, tumbling and tumbled and so darn yummy!
This is just so nicely done.
Great poem, and I love the line'wings away in mock salute'
good work girl.. i love the way you used the words and the picture you painted for me here......
Merci pour le commentaire
great, original take on the prompts. I love murder of crows. I also love a whiteness of swans. How descriptive.
There is even chaos in the balance of nature. Excellent words, marvellous pic.
I can see this all playing out in mother natures belly...wonderful job with the words and with writing such an eloquent homage to the natural world.
'a murder of crows' and 'a rabble of ravens' and 'a magpie' - I love where you took this.
What fabulous wordsmithing!
Tumblewords, I don't believe you.
Those words might tumble inside you and out of you, but they are too well placed to be random...
I like "wilding disarray", the feeling of motion and sound this evokes. I can just hear all those birds, fighting over scraps.
The fractal and words are an inky lovely masterpiece! JP/deb
Pentastically done !! A masterpiece !!
I don't have words for this!!
3WW: mysticism

I could only imagine the scene described here but would have really enjoyed watching it in person as it happened.
I enjoyed the read.
I could see their hungry eyes.
Wow! What a vision those words bring.
I'm a visual person and this one took me on quite a journey!!!
Great job Sue, especially the painting! LOVE your work. Bravo!
Sinister and starkly beautiful! I loved this one...and the image is stunning.
Sue, You amaze me!
This scene was so real I could almost touch it! The black and white images worked perfectly.
Always, thank you.
