Gone, but not Forgotten ~ Haiku

lavender
browned by winter ice
evokes green

five months passed
summer heats the yard
hot wind blows

bare feet touching earth
exposed legs stockpile suntan
I remember this

Haiku Friday offers: Gone, but not forgotten.

ABC Wednesday post is on my Art Blog

and then when someone tells you that you have only seen as many summers as you have years of life,, it seems like it cannot possibly be true......

I've got to go for the first one. It, too, evokes green.
