Heads or Tails prompt for this week:
TAILS - How would you change where you live?
My response:
I love my little house except that the utilities and taxes are outasight. Green changes would be wonderful - it would be heaven to be off the grid. With any luck I could die with a bill TO the utility company fast in my fist instead of the reverse. :)
Other changes might be a gigantic bubble overhead to prevent being buried in the snow and cold air each winter. Oh, I know. I COULD move to another area but most of my family is here and that's primetime for me.
It would be fun to have the HGTV team arrive to revamp and update this old house. A fresh paint job, in and out, new flooring and a total cleaning would be superb. Plumbing and elecric repairs would be awesome. But all in all, I'm okay for now in my little home in town.
If I took this to the next level and began changing my town and the state and then... well, you see where I'm going with this and I'm going to quit while you're ahead!
This is not my house but an older watercolor of an imaginary site and not the one of my dreams.

Yes, the utility companies can run you into the ground, can't they?
I absolutely love this watercolor, so beautifully done.

Our utility bills are manageable so far. That may be one for the "plus column" of apartment dwelling. I still want my own home someday, though.
That one in the watercolor would be nice.
Aah the utility company... I have been thinking maybe buying a house is not a good idea.. I would like a condo instead!!
Lovely watercolor
I dream
I didn’t think about ‘utility bills’ but methinks this is an excellent idea. Love the picturesque watercolor site from your imagination.
Hugs and blessings,
I lived off the grid it was a lot harder life but less stress.
Your dream picture is sure warmly and glowing feeling.
Coffee is on.
So, although bills can be a bear, having lived without for three days at the peak of an ice storm... well for now I'm quite happy with the power, gas, water. But, going green could be cool.
Your picture makes me think of my "escape from reality dream" a ranch in Montana. Not for real, but a good dream in my head.
Thanks for stopping by,
Shalom,
Kim
I like the idea of the gigantic bubble. That might save on the utility bills.
I enjoyed reading your comments for today's HoT. I like winter and wish we would get more snow where I live. I love the picture of the little house surrounded with snow. Very pretty.
I'd love to have the HGTV people redo my home. Then I might not dislike this particular home so much.
Utility bills are a sore point at the moment. Everything up by around 40% in a year in the UK - and more price hikes soon.
But that picture has made me feel a lot better. It may not be your dream, but it's certainly dreamy.
My utility cost is very high, I guess it's the price I have to pay for living in an older house.
my house isn't much to look at ... but its mine,, and i love it... i know how you feel... i'd like to be closer to family,, but i am in the best possible place,, for me.....
(as moo moo my rottie barks away at rats trying to steal lint from the dryer vent......)
like the idea of the bubble overhead. very cool :)
thanks for stopping by my hots
