Tanka for Magpie Tales #53

Willow at Magpie Tales offers an engimatic image for a weekly prompt. This one is #53.

Crystals

fractured icicles
circle the man of the moon
glide back to the sea
days sweep by in hourglass tides
drying pools to sparkling salt

Sometimes a few of the choicest words convey the most flavour. Such is the case with your gem of a poem.
