Tracking Time for Magpie Tales

Magpie Tales #40  Willow prompts weekly with an image. This week:

Tracking Time

an elliptic of stars
gentles near the center
rich with texture
and with ancient animus

the shape of myth
cosies from a flashing tail
wrinkled fabric
dribbles the string of all things

and wide along its crest
fire from ageless dragons
licks the frayed outer edge
of an elliptic of stars

Nice take on the Monkey King,
and another interesting path
sprung from Willow's prompt.
Terrific eye for detail, and
has a strong feeling of
history and tradition too.

My goodness. You truly examined the piece while I merely glanced at it and said "ick".

Tumblewords Ma'am,
Short and sweet. Brilliant use of words tending to make it a show-piece.

Is "gentles" a verb here? If it is, I'd love to participate.
Good Magpie.
