Q for ABC Wednesday

ABC WEDNESDAY ROUND 7: The Letter Q

Quoz: off beat, and out of time, serendipitous discoveries

I was talking on the cell phone to a daughter and mentioned that a black sweater top (which I didn't have) worn with a multi-colored broom skirt of abstract design (which I did have) would be perfect for an upcoming family party.

She immediately used her cell phone camera to photograph and send an image of the black top she was seeing at that moment in a local clothing store.

'Oh, that's just what I meant,' I said. She purchased it and in short order I held in my hands an idea now manifested in real time.

Technology often wins but it takes good real-time people to wrap it up in a perfect package!

Do you think that quoz worked okay? Do you kind of like quoz?

I haven't come across the word Quoz before. That was a most serendipitous result of your phone call!

Wow, Sue, is that a real word? It's kind of like "cuz" with a "w?" Technology is very helpful these days - my problem is seeing the image on my very small phone screen!

Hmm. It's the first non queen based post all day. I liked this new word. It's great to learn something new everyday.

You have a very observant daughter! Neat story. We often don't get the whole picture with serendipitous accounts. Will you get to wear the outfit soon?

I've never heard of this word before, either, and I've always considered myself something of a wordaholic. to paraphrase Anthony, we should all be hearing it from someone on the street soon.
I love how your daughter found the sweater the minute you mentioned it. Very quoz, or is it a quoz?
Great post, anyway.

You're fortunate that both of you embrace technology! I found a shirt my MIL was looking for, but had to try and describe it over my cell phone. I bought it and just hoped it was really what she was looking for.
