Southern Shifts
she holds her breath
three days at solstice
when the sun stands still
summer days condense
tree shadows unfold early
and night steps ever closer
black tracks slash the day
and the sun begins to leave
she holds her breath

Wonderful sandwich! I love how the meaning changes!
Your images evoke a stillness I just want to stop and take time to watch. Beautiful. I guess you could say the new Transformers movie has left an impression on me as I'm seeing it here in your artwork. Hope all is well. Have a great night.
These prompts are just so aswome...
so motivating.
you are delightful as always...
keep visiting my blog too...
Lovely
i am mourning the shortening days already.. but thrilled to have the length of daylight we have for the summer months..
Powerfully done - all of them.
Yes, the daylight is dwindling now.
I like the middle part a lot - though I am not a summer person - I can understand wanting to prolong summer days - there's nothing like summer
Boy this is exactly how I am feeling.... I am finding it much too hot....give me a tinkle of rain please, just for a day or two....love the illustration...so fun!!
Happy 4th of July, enjoy the celebrations!!
Hugs Giggles
