One Single Impression prompts with 'A Winter's Day'
by Geraldine of My Poetic Path
The photo is from early last winter - can't see anything out there now - over four feet of snow and still falling.
Merry Christmas!

I like the highlighted crow particularly!
I love the crow, too. Really can feel the chill in your words - we just had a bit of a blowy whiteout here, too.
A Very Merry Christmas!
for the picturesque poems-many thanks..
Oh, yes! I love that crow. He is the Sentinel of Weather. We know when the snow stops and starts even if our eyes are closed, thanks to him.
God bless, and merry Christmas.
Great, as always - and the picture cracked me up :-)
Love your series - I keep thinking I will do one too but I always stop at one!
Have to echo the others; that middle one is a gem. These words seem to be doing a jig despite the snow. Merry Christmas to you and yours from your eastern neighbor.
Loved all three of your haiku and laughed myself silly at the photograph. Methinks I spent too long on Christmas cards today and NEED to unwind ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
I especially like the one about the highlights 'crowing'. :)
My, what an awful lot of snow you have!
crow on snow!
sounds like a seuss thing starting to happen!
Great lovely, lively offerings--
many thanks!
Merry Christmas Sue! Love the 'ku.
Happiest holiday wishes, JP/deb
I like all of these, especially the one about the crow! Well done Sue. Hugs, G

i've always loved how snow so eloquently hides the "wrinkles"!
I fell madly for the first one.
That picture made me smile.
I love the first one best too.
I love this haiku. I'll bet you are surrounded by snow like I am. Merry Christmas and stay warm.
What a photo! Love the haiku!
Merry Christmas, Sue!
Hugs!
Enjoyed all of these haikus. Enjoy snow's beauty and stay warm.
Here from Poetry train, although I have also visited from other writer sites often. (Are you having trouble accessing my site? If so, I need to let typepad know since I am using their beta comment method. thx)
For some reason, the last one really came to life for me and had me saying, "Ah, yes."
enjoyed your little signs on this rainy rainy California winter day!
Oh dear, good for the skiers I guess. While I was staying warm you were feeling the cold.
We did have from two to four inches of snow in the Houston area a couple of weeks ago but none up here to stay on the ground only fifty miles away to the north.
I hope your Christmas was merry and that you holidays will be 'bright.'
..
I love them all but especially how the "white fluff covers the wrinkles" Great picture too.
