Dusk

uncoupled
from the winter dark
embarked with a giggle
on a drifting quest

dusk
adeptly hugged
the southbound sun
crossed the basin
of the great Mojave

dusk
hung on with a grin
hooky bobbed
across the sandman line,
returned with yesterday

Michelle at Poefusion Friday 5 offered these words in prompt: adept, basin, uncouple, giggle and dusk.
My response takes a short flight into the not-so-real...

Beautiful. So many great lines but, my favorite is the hooky bobbed across the sandman line. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.

My prompts will still be given out every Friday in January if you are still interested in stopping by. I haven't completely given them up. Just freed more time for me to create. See Ya~

I really liked it. Maybe not so real, but a fun excursion in fantasy. You can be dusk, that rascally wrabbit anytime.

the second parts my favorite, just like how dusk seem to hug the sun like a child to his mother, great use of friday 5 words

Well, I love it. It makes perfect sense to me. Maybe I will try this next week. It looks fun.

An excellent crafting from the given words. I thought the last verse excellent, but was not sure about The southbound sun

A lovely poem, tumblewords! And I'm sorry you have so much snow. I wouldn't be happy at all. My nice gardener shoveled the snow at 6:00 AM this morning. God bless him! :)

Dear sue,
Glad you could see dusk!
So cold and snowy for you.
May your words keep you warm.
Have a Happy Christmas.
Thank you for so many wonderful poems in 2008.
Looking forward to 2009.

where i live the ridge that overlooks the pacific pretty much blocks out the disk,, the shadows form somewhere around noon and it just gradually gets darker from there... it is not unusual in the winter that it be pitch black here in my canyon by 4pm....

thanks so much for introducing me to the term "hooky bobbed" -- it led me on an interesting quest across the Internet. A great image for the poem!!
