I love it! The idea of dusk brushing against the horizon is wonderful. I imagine the flowers magically appearing after this contact. Great stuff. Thanks.

This is just lovely.
This is amazing in its simplicity and it's definition. Both words and image blend so well together. It made me smile immediately.
a most beautiful time of day full of hushed surprises... it is beautiful... i will think of this the next colorful sunset... sunrise... came by to say congrats on michelle's poefusion for april poem month!!... well deserving..
Dusk as a painter...beautiful!
Oh, so lovely! I love the double imagery of "magenta flowers".
Simply beautiful! I love this time of day, when the light changes, and you hear the birds saying good night. Fantastic imagery with "magenta flowers"
sort of a mysterious but tender moment in time
Hi Sue, Thanks for "finding" me. Truth is, I've been too busy to worry much about the Poet Laureate of the Blogosphere contest. I lost last year, too. But it's a great way to "meet" a few new poets. I'll bookmark you, also.
Oh, I always come up as deadmule on Blogger. I'm Poetry Editor there and that's what my gmail account says.
Best, Helen Losse

Really creative haiku! Love it and love magenta! :D
Your words capture the image beautifully!!
What a great image, I can just see the sky as a giant flower.
How mystical! I loved "brushes the low horizon", much like a sweeping, soft embrace.
I love the first line.
Sue,
Congrats on winning Michelles prize at Poefusion!
Dusk, the melancholy part of the day for me.

You (ahem) paint a lovely picture. :-)
Very evocative words.
Tumblewords, how nice to find other poets! A sweet haiku. The one below is powerful. I like your description of yourself and how your brain took a right turn. I personally love Idaho and plan on posting some poems and paintings about it on my blog eventually. I lived there for 2 blessed years but have never been able to return. The memory stays in my heart like a lover and I long for it. Thanks for visiting my blog!
It's certainly not easy to write a haiku. I find it hard writing a good and meaningful one in 3 short lines. But you do it well!
excellent take sue... i love it when we walk the narrow road.......
Sue, this is haiku. Truly lovely.
You make it look easy.
This has been a long cold spring.I don't know if I can write one more springlike poem.lol ;-)

Love the way this builds to a flower heartland.

I apologize for my late visit … but I’ve devoted today to OSI before all else. I’m glad I didn’t miss this post. Your words match the image magnificently … and both dance in my imagination!
Hugs and blessings,
