Totally Optional Prompts says:
Spring has been late this year, and the spring migration's too. Today we got cloudy, cold, snow, and slush. My social life is in a chill too. The challenge this week is the big chill, cold weather, and 'late spring'.
Cabin Fever
Persephone and Demeter prolong
a familial rumble, winter holds the floor
feisty robins feud over worms frozen hard,
green buds turn brittle and days cling to cold
the moon fills twice in the space of a month
drowns Spring who still knocks at the gate
infected with cabin fever she throws shoes
at her door, scribbles gray on virgin white walls
pricks the heads of elderly voodoo dolls
and fires through the roof at mocking crows

It certainly is all mixed up. You capture this perfectly.

Drastic measures!
Sorry to infer from this lovely poem that you're still winter-stuck.
I also liked your watercolor. Would have liked to see it full size.
Dear Sue,
Oh my goodness...winter is cruel to linger so long. Wonderful poem.
Beautiful painting....
Looking forward to Spring on your doorstep and wild flowers in your meadow.

someone please let the poor old girl out!!!!!!
I always lose myself in your words.
and just when you think tomorrow really isn't coming, it arrives. Hope it's soon for you. Spring must be everyone's favourite time of year
Marvelously put........
I hope the lovely sun comes shining for you soon! :-)
great words and picture to match!
Each little description is a treat even though it's about winter hanging on.
I love how everything is so precise with no superfluous words!
The senses are in chaos. You capture the mixed messages perfectly!
