Oh, yes. Lovely. I've been looking for my grandmother in the mirror recently.
You just wrote my worst nightmare. *shudder*
I used to think I didn't look like either of my parents when I was young but, as an adult I look into that mirror much like you and see their faces. This was a beautiful read. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.
WOW. What timing. That just happened to be the other day. And reading this stopped me once again in my tracks.
Great job.
i look nothing like my mother or her side of the family,, and having never known the side of the family that i do look like... every time i look in the mirror,, i see a stranger.. and i am not sure i will ever grow to like her.......
very though provoking piece..
Great words and a beautiful picture!
Ha, ha! This can't apply to me! Just wish my Dad would get out of my face :-)
Loved it.
Yes! I see mom every morning. Well done! Loved the hummingbird fractal. :)
Ack! I agree with tc - that's gotta be one of my worst nightmares. Not aging mind you, just looking like my mother! :P
Sue,
It's curious isn't it that inextricably we see our forebearors in our own reflection?
When as a boy folks would comment to my father, "your son looks just like you," he'd answer, "that's his cross to bear." ;)

I would be honored to look like my mom at 82! She is an inspiration!
Nice read; I could relate to it, since everyone says (I know) I look like my mother, :)
Thanks for sharing and also thank you for taking the time to comment!
:D
Such a wonderful little poem.
Lovely.
Very nice. I wanted to do a haiku but I really have no experience with that genre.
Related to that Haiku. It's one of those engraving insight moments.
that was sweet. Says it all!
I was adopted--look like my adoptive father without the big nose and moustache. Would love to look like my real (adoptive) mother
Met my birthmother and fortunately have totally opposite features. Apparently I have her mothers face
