I used to think I didn't look like either of my parents when I was young but, as an adult I look into that mirror much like you and see their faces. This was a beautiful read. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.

i look nothing like my mother or her side of the family,, and having never known the side of the family that i do look like... every time i look in the mirror,, i see a stranger.. and i am not sure i will ever grow to like her.......

It's curious isn't it that inextricably we see our forebearors in our own reflection?
When as a boy folks would comment to my father, "your son looks just like you," he'd answer, "that's his cross to bear." ;)
