Big Tent Poetry prompt: You can make up your own personal holiday or celebrate an actual event that is meaningful for you.
hyacinth
snow covered
A spaced out doodle on Bamboo Fun
while I try to remember what spring rites might look like.
Ten degrees and more snow today.
My memory gets thinner and colder and maybe even older.

Susan, I can feel your desire for
warmer weather in this. I haven't
been around snow for quite a few years. Nicely said.

I feel sympathy for you in your cold surroundings. Here our Spring has made tentative inroads into bloom: primroses on the banks, daffodil buds about to burst, fat leaf buds on the hawthorn.
I don't know where you are, but be sure, it WILL come.
Saw some forsythia blooming the other day. Somehow they surprise me every year, like fireworks that you can't stop yourself from gasping over.
I love your last line... I am feeling the same way up north a bit more. Beautiful illustration.
I'm sitting here in Spokane nodding my head and relating to every beautiful word you've written here.
It is even chilly in Bakersfield today. Enjoyed the simplicity and the longing in your words.
My Holiday poem.
Fabulous job conveying the atmospherics of the season....brr...had to scrape the frost off my computer screen...good job!!! Vb
I love the sense of anticipation that this shows. It is magical when the crocus and hyacinth begin to defy snow.
Susan, a beautiful haiku of longing. Love your paintings.
lovely poem
spring will come... it always does, we had the same weather.
Just right!
I can definitely relate. :)
