topple, swift, immerse, squeeze, disloyal, hoarse, vanish, ropes, slight, basement, engine, performance
Once Upon a Waterfront
a disloyal performance
like any child can plan
with blocks and stackables
build it up to watch it fall
ropes have no use when
stilts dismantle upper floors
with squeeze, a sigh and sob
hoarse cries immerse all hope
its name a dead giveaway
Washaway land vanishes
when each rain drops
cliffs topple swiftly to the sea

Beautiful work... albeit sad and a bit achy. In other words, your words worked well, today, again.
My Poem may be found here.
Susan a beautifully put together piece. I didn't even notice the wordle words. I am wishing you and yours a love-filled holiday.

I like that you used a news story for inspiration. Nice work.
