T for ABC Wednesday

ABC Wednesday offers T as the prompt. Thanks TEAM!

Top Down Tomatoes

My plant success is largely confined to creeping
charlies, leftover peace lilies and skinny spider plants.

I hope this method of growing tomatoes works. My daughters are trying it for the first time this year, too, but my son-in-law says he has seen them growing - we are excited!

The plant on the top is a small pepper.

Have you tried top downers?

Does it work?

How soon can I have fresh tomatoes?

(I've been waiting a week, already!)

That's quite a unique and yummy choice.

I have heard about these, but not seen them growing. This is a great idea for those with limited space. I think I will go out and get them also! Maybe you will show us a picture when there are tomatoes on that vine.

Good luck with your tomatoes. And, I agree... pictures of that first tomato would be great. Hope all is well. Have a nice night.

I've seen tomatoes grown in pots, but not hanging planters. I'd be interested to know how it works.
Great T!

Top-downers sound right for me since I can rarely make plants grow UP!

there's a song by a group called Cyrkle called Turn Down Day, which came to mind seeing your plant.

Sadly most forms of gardening defeat me. I really must get a grip :-)

Those look quite fun! Tomatoes, it seems, are very versatile plants!

I've never tried them but many internet friends seem to have them this year! Ours grow in full earth.

I have never even heard of them - but it seems like a great concept! Please keep us posted as to how well they grow. Too cool!

I have been telling my husband for weeks now that this is just
WRONG!:) The poor tomato has taken eons to learn to grow upright toward the sun and down with the pull of gravity. Then humans come along and treat them like stalactites in a cave. Poor things!!!

Maybe if I grew them here Down-Under, they'd be the right way up!

I've never heard of these. There is nothing quite as tasty as freshly picked tomatoes. I hope yours grow well Sue!!!

PS: I have a new monthly prompt offering over at MPP, hope you stop by soon.

I, too, have heard of these and seen the adverts. Never tried them, myself. I like the idea of the pepper on the top.

Hope you get lots of tasty tomatoes!
