Sunday Scribblingsoffers Soul Mate as the prompt.
ephemeral
as cacti in a sandstorm
as the dreamy unicorn
uprooted in the light
obscure chimera
cavorting in the midnight hour
beckons from the unfound
across a come-hither moon
a song that whispers
for the harmony of other
from that place where
love forgot to go
Original watercolor by Sue. My poetry books North of Summer and South of Winter are now available at Amazon and, as always, available from my LuluBookstore in print or as download.

That is stunning. And by "that" I mean your soul mates of image and words.
a song that whispers
for the harmony of other
from that place where
love forgot to go
it touched a chord inside me ...
simple, sweet.. I love the 'cacti' line.
obscure chimera - creates some strange but beautiful visions.
These were the gems I put in my bucket and walked off humming with: “beckons from the unfound, across a come-hither moon” and “from that place were love forgot to go.” And the bucket business is about the beauty of coming ‘round late in the week and seeing how your thoughts rippled out for a bit from this stone thrown here...the tune, the sweet water-channeling unicorn...
