Queen of Hearts
queen of hearts
walks her footprints
into white sand
she wears a smile
bears a special shell
and her dreams in hand
a redeal of cards ~
no rags of regret
unfurl from the past
ahead of the wind
she moves without haste
keeps an ace in her sleeve

oooh this is my favorite artwork that i've seen from you and poem too! i like your take on this.. queen of hearts.
I like the picture, and I like the line about keeping an ace up her sleeve.
I really like this painting (and the poem too)- maybe one of my favorites! Keep 'em coming! =)
Clever take on Solitaire(ary?)!
The metaphors work well with the idea.
Like "no rags of regret".
Ah the art work is amazing!!!!
A haiku poem amazing!
Very unique writing there. I'm ambi-brainless myself, using neither the right nor the left of my mind at times. I think they its a result of work or too much coffee and tea. Still nice poetry!
Interesting work! Very unique. Your left brain must be working over time...or is that your right?
Hmm. Well good job regardless.
Love the artwork. Clever write!
Brilliant art. Such lovely words. Enjoyed both
tumble! very well done. i like how every stanza has an allusion to the game. one nit to pick: "up" her sleeve.
So many wonderful phrases! But if I had to pick, my favorite I'd say: "bears a special shell/and her dreams in hand"
I like how the first stanza sets the scene. I can see her on the beach in the wind.
Love the ending!
I love this painting!
Both the pieces are just amazing!!!
The image is awesome and stays in mind! I love the mix of images brought by the words...
