Good ones, Sue, I especially like the second.
All good but the last touched me.
I'm with Anthony. That last one goes straight to my heart.
I love them all Sue, most especially the second one as I like the word whitewashed and how you used it.
But the picture blew me away this time --- It's beautiful --- and somewhat hypnotic. I kept seeing a womb with a baby in it --- little feet. Then I thought, no, this is old lace and paper. I even thought about a scene I think I saw in a Twilight Zone episodes.
In the end I said out loud to no one in particular, I don't know what it is, but I desire to see a womb giving birth to light, because it's beautiful, and the strips around it reminded of an old dress my mother use to wear.
Thank you for such wonderful memories ... !
the last one was beuatiful but sad, and it stucks...i rememeber somebody sharing that said feeling
I love the last one...'leafless table' and 'wordless years'...beautiful.
A nice series! I think I'm partial to the last one as well. "wordless years" is so evocative.
I love these, in particular the second one.
That last one is heart-rending. I don't know why it got to me but it did. These are all quite amazing. Such brevity and meaning.
I enjoyed all of these, especially the second one. Well done Sue!
Sue, great read. You are a wizard at KU. They were all great.
love, Melanie
Enjoyed these, the first one had me smiling in recognition and the last one made me want to wrap my 'leaf' strewn, verbal diarrhea -ed home close around me. Thanks.
your words bring tears to my eyes as we are in the midst of our nest emptying...2 flown, 2 nearly full-feathered...oh, how i miss/will miss them
Sue~ Loved all the poems- the last one really resonated with me; can be so true.
This was terrific and so insightful! Really well done!
I loved them all. But the second one. Ah!!! the futility of crowding your heart.

The last one echoes the loneliness of empty-nesters. Loved this one especially.

Tumblewords!
Boy, these went right to the heart...at least of me. What a powerful story. And told with so few words.
Loved this--you are amazing!
