ThomG, moderator of Three Word Wednesday, offers these words as prompt: perch, allure and vivid. Thanks! Come play along...
I'm trying to learn to write flash fiction. It's not as easy as others make it seem.

She'd played him like a perch on a fine line. The allure of the two-bit hustler and the shame Elmer felt when she bullied him in front of the patrons of the Drift Inn was vivid. Disturbing. And something he couldn't live with. She'd be sorry.

The image is a small watercolor which I used as the cover for War and Pieces, a 2000 Mythsteries tiny book.

I think you're doing quite fine in the flash fiction genre. Explore, write. Write from the heart - but edit from the gut. Eliminate everything that isn't needed, strip it down, make it sing.
Heck, I just re-read my post and I'm going to fiddle with it when I get home.
Well that's just fine to me. Excellent.
This sounds just right to me!
I liked the 55 word fiction :)
You make it seem very easy
love the first line--unique and telling
Wasn't this the perfect prompt for flash! I loved yours.

Have you seen the site where you can post a 7 word memoir? that is very hard as well.
perfectly done !!
I like it but I think it needs another line or two - wasn't quite sure what the end means, still I like your play of words

I love this watercolor. Its everything that makes watercolor what it should be; especially easy on the eyes too.
