in the still and dark
where memories didn't go

in that hiding place
where the pen of night
black and cold

They are so beautiful, the poem and the painting.

They made me think about memories -collective, social, corroborated by documented history. And about a different kind of memory that is enriched by imagination. Where we fill up the gaps that memory has forgotten about.
I know that feeling, love is but a scar.
