Poem for Sunday Whirl #92

Thanks, Brenda, for pushing the pen...

she sings a song of sixpence
chorded in the key of wry
pearl drops of bones
hum a missing charge

beware that note is near
the air is sweet with dark
when art sings from the dais
sets the filaments ajar

a wire goes bad before
a filter blows
large chips of nothing
chorded in the key of wry

Your initial play on that nursery rhyme is clever, Sue. You had me anticipating the entire piece, and it does not disappoint.

I like the playful entrance and how the rest of the piece seems to hum its way to completion. Too bad the instrument failed,
