Poem for Sunday Whirl #66

Thanks, Brenda, for this delicious wordle prompt...

far less erotic
and far more melancholy
than the rosy golden swing
she imagined in her nights
~ that stray fling in tall grass
calls for a pale cover,
a powdering of ash and
a forget-me-now spray
a warning to be tucked behind
like an old judgment stick

oh, lovely. a soft warning that
will be more fun and perhaps life-enhancing to ignore.

LOVE this and I agree, a most intriguing prompt.

I'm back to blogging as of today but didn't have time to write for this prompt. Still thinking about it though.
