U for ABC Wednesday

ABC WEDNESDAY ROUND 7: ABC Wednesday - U

U might stand for under or un-things.

Under snow - I don't remember what was under the November snowfall that broke the 1955 record. AKA ~ under the weather.

Underwater - comes with the thaw.

Underthings - unmentionable.

Unknown - a huge category.

Unwords: a delightful site full of unwords can be found here http://www.unwords.com/alpha/U/0.html or can be purchased here: The Unword Dictionary: 1,000 Words For Things You Didn't Think Had Words! (How America Speaks series)

Great take on the letter U. Winter is underway but hopefully won't break records for being under snow.

Under snow, I think whatever is living there has dug deeper. Great link.

Two days ago I heard somebody telling about the homeless people in north Russia, who die during the long and extremely cold winters. They get burried under the snow. In spring when the snow starts melting their bodies turn up. They are called snow bells. Horrible, isn't it?!

I was once told the word used to describe the little plastic thingies on the end of laces, but of course I forgot. So, now it's an unword I guess...

That book looks fun!! I might have to get some copies for Christmas gifts. Hmm. Would it be cruel to give it to an Italian who isn't quite fluent in English yet? Tee hee ... ;)

That was a clever take on the letter U. Anything less would have been UNthinkable. haha
