We moved from MI last year and this will be our second winter without snow. I used to love seeing the snow fall gently and cover all the footprints and sledding prints to create a new layer. (The sledding hill was right out my kitchen window!) But it was fun to see that the joy of the previous day wasn't totally erased. Sometimes the kids would have fun trying to walk in their old tracks. :) And one of my daughters loved to make snow angels. And one liked to eat snow -- not such a good idea with all the neighborhood dogs around...
Dear Tumblewords: Excellent Haiku! Love the feeling of being snow being all tucked in for the long winter sleep! Brought back many fine memories! Joyful!

It's been so long since I've made a snow angel. I might just have to remedy that this year.
beautiful image....bkm
"goodness white" - I think of Psalm 51 - wash me whiter than snow.
I hold romantic memories of snow - but then, it's a long time since I've had to endure it. Nice haiku.
this is beautifully composed ....
Nice to see the hard stone steps made into beds for something that falls from the sky.
So simple and wonderful...and a little bit of magic. Great Magpie.

Succinctly sweet...
oh what a beautiful haiku
perhaps all the tracks are where they come and go leaving only their angel impressions behind...

Yes, there are always tracks left overnight. So much goes on while we sleep. Thanks
I love the line:
downy soft and goodness white
