I love the restful feel, which goes along with the method of yoga to which you refer. Absolutely brilliant for the prompt! I can just imagine being out among your watercolor pillars there doing this... :D
Thanks for introducing me to savasana. Relaxation is pure emptiness. I never thought of it as a kind of death, but I suppose it is. You've got me thinking. Thanks!
Great watercolor and poem! :)
Lovely poem, beautiful watercolour.
What a beautiful haiku!
First, I love the watercolor.
Second, I want to learn to do more yoga. This is one of the few poses I do know.
Wonderful poem.
A computer generated watercolor? It's so lovely! I'll have to check out that site. Thanks for the tip.
Very restful 'ku, too.
Ooops! My comment got sent before I actually sent it.
I think I was typing about wishing there were free yoga classes here. I've tried the Pilates classes a couple times but somehow always push myself too hard and wind up sore for way many days and hurting my bad arthritic knee. Yet, that never happened (decades ago) when I took Yoga.
This is a beautiful haiku. I wasn't familiar with the corpse pose so you spurred me on to some brief research. The watercolor is lovely.
Such lovely relaxing images in your poem and watercolor scene. I enjoyed them both.
What a lovely haiku and illustration. Am I correct that’s computer generated? If so … methinks I want to explore this site sometime soon because I’m intrigued. Thanks for sharing … and for dropping by my blogs earlier. I’m relieved Blogger finally allowed me to login so I can leave comments as I visit.
Hugs and blessings,
Lovely poem and illustration. If I had used my head and read the comments first I would have saved myself a pretty fruitless search for the meaning of savansa. Now, however I can rest. Wonderful haiku.
Nice :)
When I started off with yoga at the age of 12, savasana was my favourite.
Now I prefer more adventurous ones like the matsyasana and the chakrasana, :)
And you make magic out of colours.
I can't draw if my life depends on it and I am completely awesturck by just how brilliant you are. :)
I love this descriptive snapshot...fits very well with the prompt. I like the watercolor too.
