The illusions of permanence can be captivating.
I sometimes wonder what frog legs will evolve into one of these days.
Thanks for these.
Writing in Faith: Poems
in talking about the seasons that seem like they will last forever when we know damn well they wont... i hear someone say the other day,, in all of my 43 summers... and i realized... wow... i have only lived for 46 summers... 46 summers,,, it seems like i have been doing summer for eternity,, and this year will only be my 47th... what a trip.....
I like both. One is so specific other transient...
You know what I mean.
yearning
Both poems capture the spirit of magical permanence and impermanence.
As always Sue, you words speak of quiet beauty and change. All of life changes. I thank for the birthday wishes. It has given me pause to think a great deal about time and change and just how transient it all is. Now that I am older, I think I will start a journal of paintings and coleges of my day to day life. lol A little late but now I have the time. BTW your photo is great!!! I also love your Friday 5. I just cant get it right soon enough to post it before friday.
So good to read your work again.
love you, Melanie
I like the first poem, how the seasons just comes and go and yet there is some permanence in that
I love the wit and wisdom of both of these.
Love the frog leg haiku. I would have never thought of that.
..nicely done..thank u..
tadpole tails
brings back fifty year old memories of catching frogspawn in the River Went.
Sue, I've missed you! Hope all is well... These are great. I love the line faux permanence & the frog's legs is fun.
The imagery of the frog legs is intriguing.
These are just great.
Lovely, glad to see you back.
Happy solstice.
I enjoyed these poems. You expressed a mood and brought a vision to me. Thank you.
Glad to see you are writing.

So much substance in so few words...wish I could do that so perfectly!
Hugs Sherrie
I love the faux permanence line. The faux permanence can be so convincing.
