Friday 5 Poem

Michelle at Poefusion Friday 5 offers: Friday 5 is a collection of five words which can be found each week (middle column) on this page and inside this post.

This Friday's words: a pigeon, two rabbits, an abacus, tovarich and gravelines

Countdown

somewhere south
of Gravelines
a pigeon on a pedestal
plicked beads on an abacus
showed his popish tovarich
how two rabbits
given each their way
could use all the beads
merely to count progeny
somewhere in the grassy
slopes of Gravelines

Dear Sue,
Wow! You are so good...how do you do it? LOL
Very fun. I am going back for another spin.
I read your poems out loud and I was laughing and reciting....
Thank you,
Sherry

too funny.. both of us touched on the likelihood of rabbits to reproduce... i guess that is because in our own way,, we are the product of the dead rabbit generation.....

Brillliant use of the words, and a delightful poem. I really like the images of the birds, and the repetition of Gravelines.

Thanks for the e-mail yesterday. I hope you are enjoying your prize. Have a nice night.

Hello Tumblewords! What a challenge this post is - connecting words like pigeon and abacus ....I would have said 'foget it' yet you created something interesting with it. Your April poem is beautiful.

I am your 'neighbor' writing to you from Oregon. You commented on a piece I did in Sunday Scribblings - I'm new to taking anything out of my notebook and putting it somewhere, but love the process because I edit and edit and start to look at my writing more objectively. I wanted to ask your advice, since I admire your work and you seem to know a lot about online sites. One is on copyrights - are they necessary? And I haven't been too inspired by S.Scribblings lately ; I write mostly prose and travel stories. Do you have any suggestions for places to post them?

Your work and your life are so inspiring!
Hope the sun comes to Idaho soon, if it hasn't already...

Dear Sue,
Just checking in. Hope you are on vacation! Sending warm spring thoughts to you. My daughter reported 99 degrees in Portland, Oregan. Hope some warmth made it to you.
Do hope all is well,
Miss you.
Namaste,
Sherry
